Major Extension to an old Queenslander home. Young clients wanted to double the size of their current home to accommodate a growing family so we at Total Builders were asked to combine old with new. The old Queenslander originally had a double dirt garage underneath the home so we at Total Builders jacked the house up and removed the old supports that house sat on and replaced it with new supports hidden in the confines of the new wall cavities. We replaced the dirt floor with a concrete floor that was honed in the lounge area to give it a semi exposed aggregate look, which came up actually how the client wanted. We also pushed the house out in two directions to make way for a new internal staircase to replace the old external one as well as a larger garage in the adjacent direction. Clients were thrilled with their larger home and now want their upstairs to be renovated as well.
